Research and Teaching Assistant (f/m/d)

The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics, Paderborn University, has a vacancy at the Professorship of Business Administration, esp. Financial Accounting and Auditing (Prof. Dr. Urska Kosi) from September 2023:

 

Your activities:

Your tasks will primarily include development, implementation and publication of research projects. We are excited to be part of the Collaborative Research Centre TRR 266 “Accounting for Transparency”, which is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). You will be integrated into the TRR 266 and able to benefit from its numerous resources (e.g., databases, career planning, skills-enhancement workshops, international conferences, contacts with practitioners). In addition, you will conduct courses in English and German, help with development of new courses (teaching responsibility is 3-4 SWS) and support the organisation of the professorship.

Requirements for employment:

  • A successfully completed master degree in the field of business or economics, preferably with a focus on accounting,
  • Sound knowledge of and strong interest in empirical research, ideally related to the research focus of the professorship (e.g., financial accounting, corporate reporting, sustainability reporting),
  • Very good German and English skills (written and spoken),
  • Strong communication skills, organisational skills and passion for research.

TRR 266‘s main locations are Paderborn University (Coordinating University), HU Berlin, and University of Mannheim. All three locations have been centers for accounting and tax research for many years. They are joined by researchers from LMU Munich, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Goethe University Frankfurt, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and University of Cologne who share the same research agenda.
